Red Bull strike £12m Leeds deal for Daniel Farke transfer

Red Bull look set to hand Leeds United and Daniel Farke a transfer boost ahead of the summer.

The energy drink giants have been involved with the Whites for nearly 12 months, acting as investors and front-of-shirt sponsors.

Despite this initially causing a stir at Elland Road, the winning of promotion and the Championship has certainly distracted from this.

Supporters are now likely to appreciate Red Bull even further as funds look set to be made available to aid the LS11 club and Farke.

Red Bull in £12m boost at Leeds United

There is excitement building around the German head coach and his side ahead of a return to the top tier after two seasons away.

With that being said, investment in the squad will certainly be needed to bring the Whites up to standard in what is one of the toughest divisions on earth.

With six of the last six promoted clubs instantly facing relegation from the Premier League, it will be no easy feat to remain in the top flight next season.

As a result, additional investment is going to be massive for Leeds as improvements are eyed, ready for the new campaign.

This appears to have been secured in LS11 with The Athletic reporting on 29 May that senior figures at 49ers enterprises made it clear to investors that they wanted to raise £120million after promotion was earned.

These funds have been earmarked to be spent on transfers and the redevelopment of Elland Road, with Red Bull providing their share of these finances.

This comes as the energy drink giant have retained their shareholding of a reported 10 per cent [Yorkshire Evening Post, 23 May].

As a result, a £12m investment is likely to have been injected into Leeds as part of the multi-million pound round by the 49ers.

Leeds United in fresh benefit from Red Bull deal

It is fair to say that this round of investment will represent a huge boost moving into the new campaign of top-tier action.

This should spark a sizable transfer spend to help improve Farke’s side ready for the Premier League after a 100-point haul in the Championship.

This has already seen the likes of Emi Buendia and Gustavo Hamer linked, and could be set to continue throughout the summer months.

Ultimately, this has been massively helped by the work of the 49ers and Red Bull, who could help Leeds compete and potentially avoid relegation.
