Real Betis ready multi-million bid to seal Diego Llorente transfer at Leeds United

Real Betis are willing to offer £3.8million to sign Diego Llorente from Leeds United this summer, according to Manu Colchon.

The Spanish journalist has taken to X (29 June) to report that the La Liga side sees the defender as “an affordable” option this summer.

Llorente is also waiting to see if Roma will take him again next season, with a permanent move to Betis now seen as the best scenario for all parties.

Real Betis interested in Diego Llorente from Leeds United

Llorente spent last season on loan with Roma and now looks set to depart Elland Road permanently this summer.

If he was to leave, he would join Marc Roca at Betis who has already left the Whites after an initial loan spell last campaign.

Despite missing out on promotion at the end of the season against Southampton, the financial situation for Leeds isn’t as dangerous as first feared.

With the investment and ownership from Red Bull, Daniel Farke may have more wiggle room in the transfer market to make signings.

With that being said, selling Llorente this summer could allow Leeds to bring in more additions as they look to gain promotion this season.

He had a positive time at Elland Road in his debut season but it is clear that he doesn’t want to play in the Championship.

A sale makes sense for all parties so Leeds will potentially allow for a quick sale if an acceptable bid comes in. This could potentially allow for other stars to stay this summer which is a positive.
