Rasmus Kristensen spotted in video clip outside Elland Road as Leeds United medical passed
Rasmus Kristensen has been spotted at Elland Road ahead of signing for Leeds United from Red Bull Salzburg.
Twitter user James Nelson shared the video clip via his personal Twitter account on 8 June prior to a report by Fabrizio Romano which claimed that Kristensen, 24, has passed a medical and is set to be announced as Jesse Marsch’s second signing with the Whites.
In the footage, a man that is clearly Kristensen is seen chatting to someone in the car park outside the main entrance at Elland Road. It looks as though he could be wearing Leeds gear too.
Well, if you needed proof that Kristensen was about to sign for Leeds then here it is.
It’s very clearly the Denmark international, who’s taken a quick break from his international duty to sign for Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg.
Denmark play Croatia in Copenhagen on Friday (10 June) after back-to-back wins in their Nations League group against France and Austria.
It’ll be great to see Kristensen play for the Danes this week against the 2018 World Cup runners-up as a Leeds player.
There’s somewhat of an influx of Scandinavian players at Elland Road in the last year with Norwegians Leo Hjelde and Kristoffer Klaesson also joining the Whites last summer. That could be something for fans to keep an eye on.
While a deal for Kristensen also reunites Jesse Marsch with his former right-back from his days in charge of Salzburg and also reunites Kristensen with Brenden Aaronson, who left the Austrian champions for Leeds in May.
Signing Kristensen should be a good deal for the Whites, who’ve been in need of a new right-back since returning to the Premier League due to Luke Ayling’s limitations.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are set to be blown out of the water for this signing.
