Raphinha ready to make ‘public request’ to force Leeds United exit amid £42.7m development

Raphinha is willing to make his desire to leave Leeds United public in order to help speed up a move to Barcelona, according to Sport.

The Spanish news outlet reported on 16 June that Raphinha, 25, has already told Leeds that he wants to move on this summer amid interest from Barcelona and he is ready to “make a public request” if that will aid his cause.

It is understood that his agent Deco is still working on a deal with cash-strapped Barca and Leeds have started to lower their demands for the Brazil international.

Sport claims that Leeds would accept £42.7million for the winger now and it’s also reported that Barca could negotiate a lower fee than that.

No chance

The Spanish media are really trying to push this move, aren’t they?

Leeds hold all the aces here because Barcelona’s financial situation makes it almost impossible for them to sign and register new players.

Plus, the Whites’ Premier League status and Raphinha’s form for both club and country means they can demand top-dollar for the Brazilian ace.

There’s no way Leeds will accept £42.7million or less for him.

He’s worth almost double that fee, surely, and Leeds should hold out for a club that’s actually got money to come in and try to sign Raphinha.

While the Brazilian might want to join Barca, if they can’t afford him, he’s just going to have to forget about it because there are bound to be other clubs wh can actually meet Leeds’ demands who’ll be keen.

Big-six Premier League clubs, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are among those who could afford Raphinha and we’re sure he’d still be happy to play for any of them. There are, of course, top teams in Italy too.,

In other Leeds United news, talks are scheduled after Leeds tabled a big-money bid to secure another new signing.
