PSG forward Arnaud Kalimuendo is Leeds United ‘prime target’
Leeds United have made PSG attacker Arnaud Kalimuendo their “prime target” as discussions are held over a box-office bid for the 20-year-old according to The Daily Mail.
It was reported by Tutto Mercato Web on Friday (15 July) that the young striker will meet with the French giants to discuss the Whites’ offer which stands at £17million.
The Daily Mail has since revealed via their print edition (pg 142, 17 July) that Leeds have focussed all their attention on the under-21 France international after their hopes of signing Club Brugge attacking Charles de Ketelaere seemingly fade.

No slowing down
The transfer business at Elland Road doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon in what has been a remarkable summer so far at the club.
The departures of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips have been met with an influx of additions which will certainly ease the blow of losing their two best players.
A striker has to be one of Jesse Marsch’s next priorities to provide competition for Patrick Bamford.
Kalimuendo scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 in the 2021/22 season whilst on loan at Lens and would be a dynamic and physical addition at Elland Road.

Kalimuendo is only 20 and would be a short and long-term acquisition should he make the move to Leeds United this summer.
If he doesn’t hit the ground running in Yorkshire there will be plenty of time for him to develop with the club and turn into an asset for Marsch.
Considering the pace that Leeds have been going about their transfer business this summer it would not be a shock to see the Whites push forward with a move for Kalimuendo in the coming days.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that a midfielder who was admired by Marcelo Bielsa is set to leave this summer.
