Premier League clubs paying attention to Brenden Aaronson Leeds United future with exit expected – Fabrizio Romano
Premier League clubs are following the situation of Brenden Aaronson at Leeds United ahead of a potential exit this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Whites splashed £25m on the USMNT international last summer, but after suffering relegation to the Championship after a poor season he is expected to leave the club with Phil Hay sharing that there is a release clause in his contract.
And speaking on the Here We Go podcast (30 May), Romano has revealed that there are clubs in both England and Germany eyeing a move for the 22-year-old.

“Aaronson leaving Leeds is a concrete possibility,” he said.
“He doesn’t know about the future of the club, this is why he’s open to leaving. I’m sure there will be something in the Premier League, because some Premier League club was already following the situation of Aaronson.
“The Bundesliga are always keeping an eye on these talents and opportunities on the market. I would mention these two markets for Aaronson.”
How?
A relegation release clause means Leeds can’t dictate an asking price if someone comes in to sign Aaronson, but it’s baffling that there are Premier League sides interested in his services.
Aaronson played in 36 of the 38 games in the top flight in the 2022/23 season and managed just one goal and three assists in our battle against the drop.

Physically he struggled to cope with the pace of the league and the physicality of the defenders meant he couldn’t really get in rhythm at any point.
A move to the Bundesliga would make far more sense, but obviously England’s top flight is stacked with cash and he could well get a far better contract which would see him stay in the Premier League.
It won’t be long until teams start to really begin pushing for transfers to get their squads in shape for the new season, and Leeds will be very busy with outgoings early on.
In other Leeds news, a record-breaking youngster could leave on loan this summer.
