Player yet to sign for Leeds handed £8.8m price-tag on Sky Sports Fantasy Football
Sky Sports have already calculated a cost for Rodrigo on their Fantasy Football game in case the Valencia forward heads to Leeds United this summer.
It has been widely reported that Leeds have made major progress in their bid to sign the 29-year-old Spain international in the last few days with talkSPORT reporting on their official Twitter account that the Whites are “on the verge of signing” him.
Sky Sports seem so confident that a deal will be completed by saying on their official Fantasy Football Twitter account that Rodrigo can be added to your team for £8.8million.
For those who are interested in Fantasy Football, Sky Sports are valuing Rodrigo £0.1m more than Aleksandar Mitrovic and Mason Greenwood.
However, he’s also valued lower than the likes of Chelsea outcast Michy Batshuayi (£9.1m), Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£9.3m) and Liverpool’s Divock Origi (£9.4m).
That seems to be around the level that Sky Sports feel Rodrigo is at and Batshuayi and Origi are two strikers who’ve already been linked with a move to Elland Road this summer.
Leeds fans will likely take that price-tag with a pinch of salt because, at the end of the day, it is what Marcelo Bielsa thinks of Rodrigo and how much he values him in terms of his playing squad that matters most.
Rodrigo has scored or assisted 100 goals in 220 appearances for Valencia in the last five years.
The Rio de Janeiro-born Spain international scored just four goals in 27 La Liga appearances last season but did manage to assist nine goals for his team-mates.
He could be perfect for Leeds based on the system that Bielsa plays.
But he could also be perfect for your Fantasy Football team too with goals and assists almost guaranteed.
In other Leeds United news, this midfielder could reunite with an ex-Leeds player in Spain.
