Player swiftly finds new European club after Leeds United exit
Keenan Carole has signed for Swiss outfit Servette following his recent release by Leeds United, the player’s father has confirmed on social media.
Posting on X [3 July], Carole’s dad Seb, who himself played for Leeds between 2006 and 2008, revealed the 19-year-old winger has joined Servette in Switzerland after being released from Elland Road this summer.
Carole Junior had progressed through the ranks at Thorp Arch since the age of eight, working his way up to Leeds’ Under-21 side, but has now moved onto pastures new in Geneva.
The teenager’s father shared online: “Delighted to announce Keenan Carole signing for Servette.
“He is excited about the opportunity and is looking forward to [starting] his new venture.”
Leeds United youngster moves abroad
Leeds United are in the process of a significant squad reassembly, with both youngsters and senior players – or at times a hybrid of both like Tottenham’s new signing Archie Gray – departing West Yorkshire.
Carole had options to remain in England and underwent a trial period with Sheffield Wednesday, but has now found a new home in Europe.
Other young talent to have broken through at Leeds have also left the club, including Lewis Bate, Morten Spencer and Dani van den Heuvel.

Servette finished third in the Swiss Super League format last season, qualifying for the Europa Conference League, meaning an opportunity for Carole to play European football should he get a chance at first-team level.
However, Carole, who made 16 appearances in all competitions for Leeds’ U21 team in 2023-24, is more likely to be integrated into the Swiss side’s age-grade ranks for the time being.
In other Leeds news, Alan Brazil has questioned an element of Gray’s move to Tottenham.
