Phil Hay shares what anonymous Leeds United source says about Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra exits

Phil Hay has shared information on what an “anonymous” source has told him about Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra’s release clauses at Leeds United.

The Athletic journalist reported on 16 August that the source, who hasn’t been named to protect the relationship, informed him that both of the 24-year-old’s release clauses expired earlier this week.

He said the “flow of unpreventable exits might be over” after a number of players have already left Elland Road so far during this transfer window.

Huge

This is huge news if Hay’s source is indeed correct and there will be a massive sense of relief from the Leeds hierarchy as well as amongst the fans.

The BBC reported on 14 August that Bournemouth were looking to trigger Adams’ £20million release clause after a move to Chelsea fell through last week.

But that potential transfer now looks to be in doubt if his clause has expired as the club can look to charge as much as they want for the US international if the Premier League side still want to sign him.

As for Sinisterra, Dutch news outlet 1908.nl reported on 14 August that Feyenoord are looking to land a deal to sign the Colombian, but a move to Rotterdam may also now be out of the question.

If the Whites decide they want to keep hold of Sinisterra and Adams, then they are entirely in their right to do so after the players didn’t seal a move away before the deadline expired and are contracted to the West Yorkshire club.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites should move for a PL centre-back to solve their defensive problems.
