Phil Hay drops update on Bournemouth quest for Leeds United ace Luis Sinisterra

Leeds United are expected to announce the agreement with Bournemouth for Luis Sinisterra in the next 24 hours over a summer sale, according to Phil Hay.

The Athletic journalist reported on Thursday, 8 February that the Cherries will be paying the Whites a fee in the region of £20million for the Colombia international.

Ahead of the game on Saturday against Rotherham, an announcement is expected with both clubs finalising the arrangement for the 24-year-old.

Hay wrote on Twitter: “Luis Sinisterra’s time at Leeds United is up. Set to join Bournemouth permanently in the next 24 hours, with fee agreed. Leeds have avoided a loss on him.”

Leeds United unlikely to miss Sinisterra

Despite Sinisterra’s talent, his departure may not significantly impact Leeds as the Colombian’s injury-prone nature hindered his consistency on the pitch, limiting his contribution to the team.

Additionally, while possessing moments of brilliance, he struggled with inconsistency, failing to consistently deliver at the level expected of him.

Moreover, Sinisterra’s decision to leave Leeds after just one season, despite their efforts to regain Premier League status, suggests a lack of long-term commitment to the club’s goals.

Despite initial promise, his departure indicates a readiness to move on rather than help the team in their journey back to the top flight.

Daniel Farke certainly will not want such characters anywhere near his first team and he will be better off letting go of the Colombian.

Leeds United

Dan James, Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter, Crysenscio Summerville, Jaidon Anthony and Willy Gnonto are six quality options in the final third for Leeds.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could have moved fast to sign a West Ham defender with just a few negotiation points left to iron out.
