Phil Hay details what people close to Marc Roca say about Leeds United future
People close to Marc Roca believe his days at Leeds United are finished, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.
Writing on The Athletic website on Friday (17 November), Hay reported that Real Betis, who currently have Roca, 26, on loan, possess the option to sign the midfielder permanently.
However, it is understood that the La Liga club have a tight budget and that could get in the way of them exercising that option once Roca’s loan expires.

Hay adds that Leeds have no plans to re-integrate the ex-Bayern Munich midfielder at Elland Road “and people close to Roca say he is also minded to think that his days at Elland Road are done”.
Get him gone
Roca did very little to impress in the Premier League last season as Leeds were relegated back to the Championship.
He was a Victor Orta singing all over but clearly, he’s not cut out for English football because he’s doing fairly well back in Spain with Real Betis.
In Andalusia, Roca has played 18 times in all competitions this season and – surprisingly – has scored four goals despite playing as either a centre-back or defensive midfielder.

It’s become quite clear that Roca is a player who’s suited to Spanish football.
He tried his hand in Germany and that didn’t work out and he tried it in the Premier League too.
It just goes to show that if you’re signing a player from Bayern Munich for £10million, you’re not always going to get someone good.
