Paul Brown shares what Leeds United ‘don’t want to hear’ about Aston Villa-linked Crysencio Summerville
Journalist Paul Brown suggested Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville would be a “really good fit” for Premier League high-flyers Aston Villa.
The Villans were made as one of the clubs tracking the in-form Dutch winger by Fabrizio Romano (25 December) on X, and former Express journalist Brown thinks Leeds will find it difficult to quell rumours over a player who has 11 Championship goals to his name this season.
A move to Villa would allow Summerville to make a name for himself in the top division, and Brown suggests he could be a great fit in the right system, even if Leeds do not want to entertain the thought of a sale.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT [28 December], Brown reported: “Summerville, I find very interesting because I actually think he’d be a really good fit for Aston Villa and I think that this is going to be someone who could really make a name for himself in the Premier League within the right system.
“Obviously, Leeds don’t want to hear anything about that right now, but it’ll be a difficult rumour to keep quiet I think in January.”
Leeds won’t want to see him leave
The feeling around Elland Road is that Summerville will be crucial to their promotion push and, as a result, they will not want to see him leave the club in January regardless of the level of interest from Premier League clubs including high-flying Aston Villa.
However, with Villa challenging for European football qualification, and currently playing in the Europa Conference League, the allure of playing at a significantly higher level than Leeds are at could prove tempting for the Dutchman if that offer comes along.

With Brighton also reportedly interested in securing his signature [The Mirror, 29 December], Summerville is beginning to attract interest from some top sides, and as Brown says, Leeds may find it difficult to keep the speculation quiet.
The winger has scored 11 goals and provided six assists in the Championship so far this season, proving he may be a level above the division, and if Leeds don’t win promotion this season it will be extremely difficult to hold on to their star asset.
In other Leeds United news, a Premier League move has also been mooted for Wilfried Gnonto.
