Patrick Bamford spotted with Leeds-linked star as speculation swirls

Leeds United’s transfer window is beginning to heat up, with numerous names linked with a move to Elland Road.

Daniel Farke has wasted no time in finding targets this summer as he aims to achieve Premier League survival.

Leeds have been strongly linked with a move for Middlesbrough’s Finn Azaz who impressed in the Championship.

However, Farke is also looking to add more Premier League experience to his team.

Bamford spotted with Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips

Kalvin Phillips has been linked with a return to Leeds United in recent weeks after their promotion back to the Premier League.

The Peacocks academy graduate has been at Manchester City since 2022 but has struggled to break into the first team.

After a failed loan move to Ipswich Town, rumours have begun to circulate that he could return to Elland Road this summer.

Phillips was sensational when he was at Leeds United

Now, speculation has been heightened once more after he was spotted with Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford at Temple Newsam.

On Instagram (May 31), Phillips posted a story of the trio listening to the Kaizer Chiefs sing ‘I Predict A Riot’, with Bamford even joining the band on the stage.

The Manchester City midfielder recorded footage of the striker with the caption: “What an absolute legend!” before he tagged both Ayling and Bamford.

Phillips would quickly integrate back into Leeds’ squad

While Leeds fans will continue to debate whether Phillips is good enough to rejoin the Peacocks, if he does make the move, it would be a quick transition for the midfielder.

It is clear that the 29-year-old is still on good terms with the squad, with many stars still there from before he left.

Therefore, it is unlikely that Phillips would need time to adjust to his surroundings, as he would simply pick up where he left off.

This is likely to be a strong pull factor for Farke as he aims to get his squad prepared for Premier League action as soon as possible.
