Leeds United have been linked to multiple strikers this summer as they look to increase their firepower.

Beto has been the strongest name linked to Leeds after a decent season at Everton.

On top of this, reports suggest that Leeds are set to sign Willem Geubbels after his successful campaign in the Swiss Super League.

However, this will likely mean exits follow as Daniel Farke reshapes his squad for the Premier League.

Bamford insists he can still play at a ‘good level’ after injury woes

Bamford has been linked away from Leeds after a poor campaign at Elland Road.

The striker failed to find the net in any of his 18 appearances in the 2024/25 campaign, which has cast doubts on his ability to compete in the Premier League.

On top of this, Bamford has struggled for fitness in recent years, with him set to turn 32 years old in September.

Now, with only a year left on his contract, many feel in might be time to let the striker go this summer and make the Yorkshire club some money while they still can.

Speaking to former Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster on his Fozcast podcast (22 May), Bamford has now spoken about his future, believing that he can still compete at a good level.

He said: “I’d like to play for one as long as I still enjoy it, and two, I can still stay at a good level. I reckon I’ve still got a good five years and I feel alright now, but as soon as one of them two goes, I think I’d then say I’m not going to force it."

Bamford is no longer Premier League quality

While there is no doubt that Bamford was once a brilliant striker for Leeds United, those days are now gone.

The 31-year-old looked out of his depth in a Championship side last season, and there is no chance he can compete in the English top-flight.

With numerous strikers linked to Leeds, Bamford will surely be sold in the summer to make room for new signings.

Hopefully, the 31-year-old can secure a good move for himself and return to form next campaign.
