Patrick Bamford set for Leeds United exit in 2025 after new talks
Patrick Bamford is considering his options at Leeds United with Serie A side Genoa among those interested in acquiring his services, according to TEAMtalk.
The online outlet reported via their website on 18 December that the striker has already held talks with Daniel Farke about his playtime and it’s “very realistic” that he could be sold in 2025.
The Serie A outfit are “very alert” to the Englishman’s situation and could consider making a loan with an option to buy in the January transfer window with a permanent deal not on the cards until next summer.
Leeds United should keep hold of Patrick Bamford this season
While Bamford may not have started a game for the Whites this season, it feels likely that Farke will call upon him soon if both Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe can’t manage to find some consistency.
The duo have led Leeds’ attacking line for most of the season due to the injuries the 31-year-old has suffered with since the start of the term.
While he’s been included on the bench of late and introduced on the odd occasion, it still feels like more could come from the former Middlesbrough talisman.
At the moment, the West Yorkshire outfit are second in the Championship and are three points adrift of league leaders, Sheffield United.

If they want to gain automatic promotion and perhaps win the title, Bamford could end up being the man they need to call upon as we get into the tail-end of the season.
Only time will tell what the future holds for the 31-year-old but at the moment, it feels silly for Leeds to consider shipping him off before the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
