Patrick Bamford could leave Leeds United this summer after outburst behind the scenes
Patrick Bamford could be set to leave Leeds this summer after an outburst behind the scenes where he claimed the club were “run terribly”.
Bamford has been at Elland Road since 2018 and has been the first-choice striker for the majority of his time at the club, but has been tipped to leave after the Whites were relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2022/23 season.
But now according to Last Word On Sports (7 June) Bamford had an “outburst” during a social night out with the team earlier this season and made his intentions clear that he wanted out this summer.

“The previous leadership of Leeds United has been thrown into question once again, as sources tell Last Word on Football that Patrick Bamford spoke out against the club at a social event late last year,” they wrote.
“The English striker is understood to have said that the club was “run terribly” and stated his intention to leave in the summer window.”
Not a surprise
All the fans know how badly the owners and board have run the club recently, so it’s hardly a shock that the players may have felt that too in the changing room.
Bamford has been poor for the last two years with injuries really affecting his performances, and he went the entirety of 2022 without a single goal.

He then missed the run-in through injury once again as we went down, and with so many talented young attackers at the club it’s probably best for everyone that he gets moved on anyway.
His wages are high, he’s coming into the twilight of his career and simply the other options we have at the club are now better for the future of Leeds, especially in the Championship.
If he wants out then we shouldn’t stand in his way, and fans will gladly thank him for his services and close the door behind on his way out.
