Norwich to hijack Leeds United bid for Manuel Benson after Carrow Road news

Norwich City could hijack a Leeds United deal for Manuel Benson if they sell Jonathan Rowe, according to Ben Jacobs.

The journalist reported to GIVEMESPORT on 21 August that the Whites need to move quickly to land the Angola international.

The Canaries could lose Rowe to Marseille before the end of the window and could enter the race for the Burnley winger to compete with Daniel Farke’s side.

Leeds United could miss out on Manuel Benson to Norwich City

Leeds are in desperate need of fresh faces in their forward line after losing Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter during the window.

The depth in attacking areas is seriously lacking with Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto being the only true winger options.

In the number ten role, Joel Piroe faces competition from Brenden Aaronson but neither is currently close to the level of Rutter and Co.

Benson would prove to be a useful option in the squad at Elland Road given the versatility he has shown over the years at Burnley.

The former Royal Antwerp star has the ability to play out wide or through the middle as a number ten which Farke will be able to utilise throughout the season.

The Clarets may be reluctant to sell to Leeds given that both are likely to be challenging for promotion towards the end of the season.

There is no doubt that Benson would be welcomed by supporters considering the general lack of incoming transfers so far this summer.
