Noah Okafor agrees Leeds United contract terms with next transfer close
Noah Okafor could be set to be the next signing at Leeds United.
Daniel Farke’s side have already added eight new players, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin the latest signing after the likes of Jaka Bijol and Anton Stach.
Okafor had fallen out of favour with AC Milan, spending some of last season on loan with Napoli, and Leeds are interested in an £8.6million deal for the attacker.
The Swiss international has been on the Whites’ shortlist since Victor Orta was the sporting director at Elland Road.

Okafor agrees Leeds terms as transfer close
Leeds still needs new attacking talent, as Calvert-Lewin’s injury record is a major concern heading into the Premier League season.
They hold an interest in Okafor, a versatile forward who is capable of playing across the front line, although his primary role is on the left flank.
- Okafor scored 34 goals in 110 matches for Red Bull Salzburg before his move to Milan
- Notched seven goals for the Italian outfit in 54 appearances
- Four appearances on loan at Napoli last season
La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin reported on 18 August that the Whites have now agreed contract terms with the forward.
He stated that negotiations are accelerating with the LS11 outfit wanting a permanent transfer, while the Italian side are yet to make a decision.
How much could Okafor earn at Leeds United?
The Peacocks’ highest earner is Jack Harrison, who is on £90,000-a-week in Yorkshire, according to estimates from Capology.
Daniel James and Patrick Bamford are second on the list at £70,000-a-week, with Pascal Struijk next on £50,000-a-week.
Player | Estimated weekly wage (Capology) |
Jack Harrison | £90,000 |
Dan James | £70,000 |
Patrick Bamford | £70,000 |
Brenden Aaronson | £50,000 |
Those figures do not take into account the new additions like Calvert-Lewin, Sean Longstaff and Bijol, who may be on more than that, considering their experience in top leagues.
Given that Okafor is an established Swiss star, with 24 caps for the national team and significant experience in Serie A, he would expect to be in the higher echelons of the wage structure.
The Whites are probably looking at a figure around the £80,000-per-week mark for the 25-year-old, which would represent good value.
The overall package of £8.6m plus that salary package would be quite cheap considering the quality that he would bring to Farke’s side.
If he can help them survive in the top-flight, it will be worth every penny.
