Nicolas Kuhn transfer: Leeds United ready to sign Celtic star

Celtic forward Nicolas Kuhn has been linked with a move to Leeds United in a huge development at Elland Road.

The 25-year-old has been one of the most exciting stars in the Scottish Premiership this season, having scored and assisted a majority of the Hoops’ goals this season.

Elland Road looks set to welcome the Premier League again as they sit at the top of the Championship table.

The 49ers Enterprises will have to back Daniel Farke if they get into the English top flight, and there’s news on the Whites’ pursuit of the Celtic superstar.

Leeds United paying close attention to Kuhn

Kuhn is attracting interest from the West Yorkshire outfit ahead of the summer transfer window, according to TBR Football.

The news outlet reports (21 February) that the Whites are paying close attention to the 25-year-old after his impressive displays at Parkhead.

Farke’s team are among the number of clubs who have their sights on the German national who moved to Celtic in January 2024.

The right-winger is attracting the eyes of top teams after his starring role for the Hoops in the Champions League, where they narrowly lost to Bayern Munich in the last 32.

Celtic to make Kuhn pursuit difficult

Leeds need new attackers as Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph and Joe Gelhardt have all failed to make a mark this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them leave permanently this summer.

Elland Road expects to win the Championship title as they sit two points at the top of the table and could extend their lead with a win over Sheffield United on Monday (24 February).

The Premier League has been a graveyard for teams like Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton, who were promoted at the end of last season.

Their situation should set an example for Farke to demand reinforcements from the board if and when they do get back into the English top flight.

Kuhn has been influential in Scotland, but it will arguably be difficult for him to have a similar impact in the Premier League.

The German youth international has still shown immense promise, and his transfer could be a gamble worth taking.

Celtic won’t make a transfer pursuit easy, and it remains to be seen how much they will demand to sell their 25-year-old talisman.
