‘Next days decisive’ for Wilfried Gnonto future at Leeds United, six clubs in race for transfer
The next days are decisive in the future of Wilfried Gnonto at Leeds with at least six clubs in the race to sign him, according to Calciomercato.
The Whites are expected to lose the Italy international this summer after their relegation to the Championship, with Everton considered to be frontrunners for his signature.
But after competing in the Under-21 Euros since the end of the season, Gnonto is now expected to make a decision in the coming days about his future.

“In our league, like last year, teams like Fiorentina, Monza, Sassuolo are thinking about it,” they wrote (4 July).
“But at the moment, the team that seems to have the upper hand to ensure its performance seems to be Everton. In England, Aston Villa is also thinking about it, while Freiburg are interested in Germany.
“The next few days will be decisive in accurately establishing the new destination of the class of 2003, who wants to continue to test himself in high-level contexts.”
Battle on
Crystal Palace have also been linked with a move for Gnonto as they look to replace Wilfried Zaha, so Gnonto is not short on options.
Leeds are likely to be doing everything they can behind the scenes to keep him at Elland Road after taking a chance on him last year, but he has shown that he is more than capable of playing at the top level.
With so many options available to him, staying at Leeds seems impossible now and it’s all about who can strike a deal with the club financially but also who entices him the most.

Its surprising that Everton are reportedly leading the race considering how they struggled last season and with Sean Dyche’s style of football, but the Premier League is the best league in the world and he’s guaranteed more regular first-team football there than he is at Aston Villa or other top clubs.
The next days are said to be decisive and with Daniel Farke now in the hotseat, developments can be expected in the transfer window for both incoming and outgoings. Hopefully we don’t need to wait too long to know what’s going to happen.
In other Leeds news, one player has agreed terms on a season-long loan deal for a “dream” transfer.
