New Jorgen Strand Larsen to Leeds update emerges late on deadline day amid Crystal Palace drama
Leeds United have continued to showcase interest in Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Strand Larsen looks destined to leave Molineux this winter, with a move to Elland Road being heavily reported throughout the window.
It had looked as if Daniel Farke and Co. had been beaten to the punch after a deal with Crystal Palace edged ever closer on deadline day.
The Norway international was destined for Selhurst Park, as Oliver Glasner looked set to replace Jean-Philippe Mateta after his proposed switch to AC Milan.
There has been plenty of drama surrounding the Eagles, Strand Larsen and Mateta, leaving many to question where that situation leaves Leeds.
Could Leeds United still sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves?
The Whites have positive number nine options right now, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin performing at a top level throughout the campaign.
Felix Nmecha has been a useful option, but the chance to add a forward with 15 Premier League goals under his belt seemed like a wise move.

The Norwegian has attracted many suitors, and it did look as if Crystal Palace were set to sign him after completing a medical on deadline day.
That could be impacted after Mateta failed his medical at AC Milan, resulting in the Serie A giants ending their pursuit of the France international.
There is now questions of whether Palace will still sign Strand Larsen, but Graham Smyth has revealed there is “no suggestion it’s off” at this stage.
The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist has also reported that even if a deal did fall through and Wolves accepted an offer from Leeds, it would be too late for a deal to be done.
Leeds United must hold out until summer for potential Strand Larsen deal
It appears that the Whites have little choice but to abandon their hopes of signing the Norway forward and end their winter window on a low note.
Crystal Palace look to have won the race, but there is every chance that their deal could still fall through with just hours remaining in the window.
The failure to sell Mateta could complicate proceedings, with the money from that deal likely to have been utilised in the move for Strand Larsen.
Leeds will remain on high alert and hope that the Eagles can’t sign their main striker target, leaving the door open for a potential Elland Road switch in the summer.
