Leeds have had a promising start to the Premier League season, winning four points from their first three games.

Leeds' 0-0 draw to Newcastle showed further signs of stability in the team, something that Marcelo Bielsa was notoriously criticised for in the 2022/23 season.

On the opening weekend, Leeds beat Everton 1-0, meaning that their total of two clean sheets is just three shy of Leeds' five in the whole of the 2022/23 campaign.

The atmosphere at the club is positive, and Neil Warnock feels that Leeds have one factor which will prove crucial in determining whether they avoid relegation or not.

Neil Warnock praises the Elland Road atmosphere

Speaking on talkSPORT, Neil Warnock has highlighted how important Leeds' home form will be this season.

He said: “The crowds at Leeds are such an atmosphere, they’re vital and they get behind the lads.”

He also says that Leeds' transfer business has done enough to convince him that they could avoid the drop.

“Leeds have made one or two good signings, one or two of the younger lads have got more experience, and I think they’ve got enough.

“They’re not gonna knock the door down but I think they’ve got enough to stay up.”

Despite Leeds' disappointing deadline day, they have made 10 summer signings, spending over £100 million.

Deadline day saw three sought-after players reject a move to Elland Road, disappointing Farke.

  • Harry Wilson's transfer fell through at the 11th hour
  • Manor Solomon chose to move to Villarreal on loan
  • Facundo Buonanotte completed his move to Chelsea

Despite this, Warnock has faith in the current group of players, with the support of the fans likely to play a pivotal role in the next few games.

Leeds supporters must play their part in huge month ahead

Despite starting well, Leeds have only scored one goal since their return to the top flight, with that being a Lukas Nmecha penalty.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has struggled at Leeds so far and was particularly disappointing during the EFL Cup defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

He will need to rediscover his goalscoring exploits for Everton soon, as Leeds have a favourable run of fixtures coming up.

Games against Wolves, Burnley and West Ham could bear significant weight on how the rest of the season plays out and Leeds will need their attacking options, including Calvert-Lewin, to sharpen up in front of goal.
