Neil Ruddock shares ‘unbelievable’ admission live on talkSPORT after what Leeds United fans did at Elland Road
Neil Ruddock has revealed that he used to love playing against Leeds United because of the atmosphere generated at Elland Road.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Thursday (25 January, 08:55am), the pundit said it was the “loudest cheer” when he walked out to play at the Whites’ stadium.
He added that the West Yorkshire club have “great fans” and that the noise created inside Elland Road on matchdays was “unbelievable”.
“I used to love playing at Leeds,” said Ruddock. “When we used to walk out at Leeds, I think it was the loudest cheer.
“I don’t know if it was the accoustics around the stadium or what, but when you used to walk out at Leeds, I used to love playing there because the sound was unbelievable. Great fans there.”
Boisterous
It’s very interesting to hear Ruddock admit that Leeds was the loudest atmosphere he encountered as a footballer given that he played for Liverpool.
Most players who have represented the Reds would usually say the noise genertated inside Anfield is the best they’ve come across, so it’s refreshing to hear him give an unbiased opinion.
The Whites fans have long created a boisterous atmosphere inside Elland Road as they look to give their side the edge in each and every game.

They are extremely passionate about their side and have continued to support them through some extremely difficult times despite there being relatively little success since the days when Ruddock played.
But the supporters will be hoping they can cheer Daniel Farke’s side on to secure promotion back to the Premier League this season as they aim for an immediate return to the top flight.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are plotting a double raid on one Premier League club this month.
