Leeds United could be in the market to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea.

The Ukraine international has been unavailable at Stamford Bridge since November 2024 after facing doping charges.

Having accepted breaking anti-doping rules, he agreed to a suspension equal to the time already served.

That allowed him to return to pre-season with the Blues as he featured for the first time in over 20 months.

There is now massive questions surrounding his future under Xabi Alonso and what could be next.

Mudryk could soon be on his way to Leeds after what Adam Pope has heard.

Could Mykhailo Mudryk join Leeds United?

There is a desire in LS11 to bring in a winger before the transfer window slams shut.

Deadline Day is a week-and-a-half away and gives the Whites limited time to make any deal happen.

Daniel Farke may be forced to turn to new options in the coming days.

That has now seen Mudryk put forward as an option after his long-awaited Chelsea return.

BBC journalist Pope has suggested that the Ukrainian's name keeps circling at Elland Road.

Speaking via the Don't Go To Bed Just Yet podcast on Friday, he said: "On the winger front, they've been linked with several players. The name that has popped up the most recently is Mudryk at Chelsea.

"He's come back from the ban and he's had an 18 month pre-season effectively. I would imagine he'll want to be Premier League. I would imagine he wants to come here [Leeds]."

A deal could be on the cards before the end of the window, if the winger wants it.

How much could Mudryk cost Leeds?

The suggestion is there that a loan move would be the most likely outcome if the ex-Shakhtar Donetsk man comes in.

There will be reservations due to his lack of minutes in the past year and potentially due to his wages at Stamford Bridge.

Valuball reports that Mudryk is paid £50,000-per-week with Chelsea, equating to £2.6million a year.

That would actually put him in the lower end of the wage book in West Yorkshire, similar to the likes of Lukas Nmecha and James Justin.

His amortisation with the Blues is noted at £8.8m, having cost £88.5m to sign in January 2023, so could have an impact on how Alonso's side assess this one.

It could prove to be a risk on the pitch to bring Mudryk in, but could make financial sense if Farke can get the best out of him.
