Medical this morning: Leeds United on verge of Daniel James signing
Daniel James will undergo a medical this morning (Tuesday) ahead of signing for Leeds United from Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Sports Italy journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Monday night that the Whites have agreed to pay £24million, plus add-ons, for the 23-year-old Wales international.
It is understood that personal terms have also been agreed with James and an “official announcement” will come soon.
It remains to be seen how much the add-ons will be worth but BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone suggests that the total deal is £30million, which is a club-record deal for Leeds.

It happened with Michael Cuisance last year and the year before that it was the infamous James deal that was killed off thanks to Swansea.
Now, we imagine the deal will go through but we cannot be 100 per cent sure until the club puts out an official message with James wearing the club’s badge.
While we’re not worried as of yet, who knows what could happen on deadline day?
Everything still needs to be signed and finalised while, of course, James needs to pass his medical. Between then and the official unveiling of the Welshman, anything can happen.
If we do get James’ signing done and dusted then it will no doubt be a superb addition to our team.
The ex-Swansea ace offers pace, energy, stamina, skill and experience of playing in the Premier League.
What’s not to like about this deal?
In other Leeds United news, this midfielder expects to leave Leeds permanently on deadline day.
