Matheus Fernandes to ‘quit Southampton’ as exciting Leeds transfer news emerges
Daniel Farke is preparing to spend his warchest at Leeds United as he aims to keep the Peacocks in the Premier League.
Numerous players have been linked to the Yorkshire club since they won the Championship title.
Everton’s Beto has been heavily linked to Leeds as Farke looks to add more Premier League experience to his team.
On top of a striker, a new central midfielder is also wanted at Elland Road with Matheus Fernandes linked.

Hendrie backs Leeds United to sign Mateus Fernandes
One of Leeds’ targets this summer is Fernandes.
Despite Southampton’s poor season, the midfielder has been one of the Saints’ bright sparks.
Leeds are reportedly lining up a bid worth near £30million for Fernandes, with the 20-year-old showing plenty of potential.
However, both Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are interested in the Portuguese midfielder ahead of the transfer window.
Despite this, Lee Hendrie has backed Leeds to get the signing over the line as he insists that Fernandes’ departure from Southampton is “inevitable”.

He told Football League World (24 May): “Yes, I think he will leave the football club.
“He’s another very good player that I think would fit the bill for Leeds for how they play. He’s got a little bit of everything.
“I think he would be a really, really good signing for the football club, I really do. I watch the signings that they brought in over past seasons: flamboyant, skill – he’s got that in abundance.
“I think it’s inevitable he leaves the football club. I think it would be a really good fit for Leeds, and for him. Obviously, Premier League, and an exciting team that he could end up playing in where you might get a bit more out of him.
“Very, very good player, and it would be a good signing for Leeds.”

Leeds United have to act fast to sign Fernandes
With other Premier League clubs sniffing around Fernandes, Leeds will need to act quickly if they are to get the signing over the line.
With top-flight survival getting more difficult each year, the Yorkshire club cannot afford to miss out on one of Farke’s targets.
If they don’t act quickly, they could end up with someone with no where near as much potential or ability which would hinder their survival hopes.
Fernandes has plenty of potential and would easily suit Leeds’ style of play.
If the Peacocks can get the signing over the line, the quality of the squad goes up massively, and it would be one big step towards survival already.
Hopefully, Leeds United make contact with Southampton soon and start negotiations for the transfer as soon as possible.
