Mateusz Bogusz likely to be at end of the line at Leeds United
Mateusz Bogusz is unlikely to have much of a future at Leeds United due to being sent out on loan, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.
The 20-year-old joined Spanish second-tier club UD Ibiza on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window and has since impressed, scoring three goals in nine appearances.
However, once that loan deal expires, it seems unlikely that Bogusz has much of a future at Leeds based on Marcelo Bielsa’s stance on loaning young players out.

Writing on The Athletic’s website, Hay said: “When young players go out on loan, it tends to mean that they’re at the end of the line under Bielsa.
“Bogusz seems to be doing well in Spain but I don’t see it changing anything for him here.”

Surprise?
Bogusz has done well on loan at UD Ibiza.
He’s scored a couple of terrific goals for the Balearic Island club, playing in a number of positions.
The Poland Under-21s international has played on both the right and left wings as well as in the centre of the midfield.
It’s definitely a surprise that Bielsa isn’t fancying the former Ruch Chorzow youngster any more, especially as he’s played several times in the first-team for the Leeds manager.
Leeds could have done with Bogusz this season, if we’re honest.
Bielsa is facing an injury crisis right now and our central midfield options are very limited.
Bogusz can not only play there but also anywhere in the attack so having him in the squad could have helped out a lot.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out for him at Elland Road for one reason or another and the fact he’s on loan in Spain’s second-tier right now suggests he may never make it in the Premier League.
We hope we are wrong but we may see Bogusz leave for good at the end of the season based on Hay’s update.
In other Leeds United news, a new contract is on the cards for this fringe player who Andrea Radrizzani admires.
