Mateo Joseph agreement set as Leeds United ‘already make transfer call’
Mateo Joseph has taken one step closer to his Leeds United exit this summer transfer window.
Real Betis are interested in the Spain Under-21 international, who started for Santi Denia’s team in the 2-1 win over Romania.
Daniel Farke lost faith in Joseph after initially starting him regularly this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave soon.
The Whites have already indicated their decision regarding the 21-year-old, as he continues to discuss terms with the La Liga outfit.

Betis make progress with Joseph agreement as Leeds United already sign replacement in Lukas Nmecha
Betis have made progress in their agreement with Joseph over a move from Leeds, according to ABC.
The news outlet reports (15 June) that the La Liga outfit are looking to finalise a deal for the centre-forward soon as they keep an eye on his performances at the Euro Under-21.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |

It’s been claimed that the Verdiblancos feel the Whites’ demands for the Spanish youngster are high, but they hope to start serious negotiations in the coming weeks at Elland Road.
Lukas Nmecha will be part of Farke’s squad next season, which may indicate their willingness to sell Joseph after already signing a replacement.

Nmecha will be backup striker at Leeds next season
Joel Piroe has been reliable at Elland Road, winning the Championship Golden Boot as Leeds lifted the league title.
Nmecha’s numbers at Wolfsburg weren’t the greatest, but he could undoubtedly do the job as a backup striker for the Whites in the Premier League.
With Joseph seemingly on his way out, it looks like a prudent transfer that the West Yorkshire outfit have pulled off for free.
Leeds could also lose Patrick Bamford in the coming weeks, leading to a dearth of attacking options at Farke’s disposal.
It makes sense for the young striker to demand a move to Betis, where he’ll arguably be guaranteed more minutes than at Elland Road in the upcoming campaign.
While the 21-year-old has shown glimpses of his talent at the Whites, he needs regular game time to develop his attributes.
Moving to Spain is maybe what the centre-forward needs to progress further in his career, but whether that happens remains to be seen.
