Marc Roca to undergo Leeds United medical on Friday morning as he jets into England – Fabrizio Romano
Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca is set to undergo a medical with Leeds United on Friday morning (17 June), according to Fabrizio Romano.
LUFC Fan Zone, a reliable source of Leeds information on Instagram, reported on Thursday (16 June) that Roca, 25, was due to travel to England later that day while there were suggestions on Twitter that he’d flown into Manchester airport from Barcelona.
And it seems that he is already in the country as Guardian journalist Romano reported via his personal Twitter account on Friday that the Spanish midfielder will have his Leeds medical in the morning.
Romano added that Roca will be joining in a deal worth £10.2million plus add-ons and the paperwork for the deal is “also ready”.
Close to completion
There’s a good chance that by the end of play on Friday, Roca will be a Leeds United player.
It’ll no doubt be a big day for him so we hope he slept well in his hotel on Thursday night.
The Spaniard is bound to be shown around Elland Road and Thorp Arch after completing his medical while he’s also set to sign his contract, pose for pictures in the shirt and so on.
But by the time Friday is over, we’ll be shocked if Roca isn’t formally announced as a new Leeds player.

It’s been a busy start to the summer by Victor Orta with Roca joining Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen in heading to Elland Road.
It remains to be seen how well they’ll perform but we’re more confident of Roca fitting in than anyone else as he’s played in big European leagues already in his career.
He’ll have learned a lot in his two years at Bayern too despite only playing a limited number of matches due to Joshua Kimmich being ahead of him in the pecking order.
Still, we expect him to be a regular fixture in Jesse Marsch’s starting line-up in 2022/23.
In other Leeds United news, talks are scheduled after Leeds tabled a big-money bid to secure another new signing.
