Marc Roca excited to join Leeds United with permanent transfer from Bayern Munich close
Leeds United are “close” to wrapping up a permanent deal to sign midfielder Marc Roca from Bayern Munich, according to LUFC Fanzone.
The Leeds insiders reported on their Instagram account on Sunday (12 June) that a source close to Roca, 25, has told them that the Bayern ace is “already excited to play in the Premier League”.
LUFC Fanzone has previously revealed accurate updates from Elland Road, has over 55,000 followers on Instagram and some of those followers include players like Illan Meslier, Mateusz Klich and Gjanni Alioski. Leeds board member Massimo Marinelli is also a follower.
If Roca isn’t a Leeds player by the end of the upcoming week, we’ll be shocked.
Leeds haven’t waited around to do their business in this off-season with Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen already snapped up in deals with Red Bull Salzburg.
Roca, surprisingly, has no attachment with Salzburg nor the USA, which suggests that this is a proper Victor Orta signing due to the fact he’s Spanish.
What may be a coincidence is that Roca played for Bayern in the Champions League against Salzburg this year.
Aaronson and Kristensen were both on the end of a 7-1 defeat at the Allianz Arena as Roca came off the bench in the second half to help see out a big win for his side.
Roca’s time at Bayern has been a poor one.
He’s struggled to play but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad player.
We’re at a point where signing a Spanish midfielder from Bayern Munich is a very big deal.
And while it’s not a Xavi Alonso or Thiago level of signing, it’s still a very good one and his arrival will boost the numbers in the midfield.
If only we signed him last year.
In other Leeds United news, a recruitment chief says the Whites are in the hunt to sign this English midfielder who’s available for £10million.
