Many Leeds fans drool over transfer report, would be 'Unbelievable business', 'Perfect signing'

Leeds United fans are blown away with speculation that has linked the Yorkshire club with Southampton striker Che Adams ahead of the January window.

Adams, 23, has dropped down the pecking order at Southampton despite him costing the Premier League club £15million when they signed him from Birmingham in the summer.

Football Insider has reported that Leeds see the former Sheffield United striker as a potential replacement for Eddie Nketiah in January if Arsenal decide to terminate the England Under-21 international’s loan spell at Elland Road.

And as Nketiah has failed to start a Championship fixture for Leeds, it is something that is certainly on the cards and a replacement could be needed.

It is understood that Adams is viewed as a potential replacement for Nketiah next month.

He may not have scored for struggling Southampton this season but he did manage to find the back of the net 22 times in 46 Championship appearances for Birmingham last season.

Leeds could do with a striker who boasts that kind of record to replace Nketiah and boost their bid for promotion to the Premier League, which is why so many fans on Twitter are excited by this latest transfer report.
