Manor Solomon twist emerges as permanent Leeds United transfer wanted

Leeds United sit at the top of the Championship with all eyes on the Premier League.

Recent victories for Daniel Farke’s side, coupled with Sheffield United dropping points, have left Leeds sitting five points clear of the Blades in third.

Promotion is only half the battle at Elland Road, though, and if the Whites do go up, attention will immediately turn to becoming a sustainable top-flight club.

Leeds given Manor Solomon condition

As the summer transfer window edges closer, Farke is already preparing for the new campaign, eager to get going as soon as the season finishes.

One man who has been a star in the Leeds side this season is Manor Solomon, who joined in the summer on loan from Tottenham.

The 25-year-old has been a regular in the side, making 35 Championship appearances and contributing frequently in front of goal.

Solomon has been big for Leeds this season.

With that in mind, Leeds would be keen to retain his services permanently ahead of the new campaign, with a big part to be played.

According to Football London (15 April), a deal is possible and Solomon would be interested but only if Leeds gain promotion to the top flight.

The report also states that there is expected to be further interest in Solomon’s services from elsewhere which could throw a spanner in the works over a potential move.

With the potential of a new manager coming in at Tottenham at the end of the season, Solomon is surely destined to be playing in the top flight.

Premier League crucial for Leeds United

Solomon’s condition of getting time in the top flight next season highlights how crucial promotion is for Leeds United this season.

The attacking player could certainly have an impact in the league above next season, and if Leeds gained his services, it would be a sign of continuity from the current side to Farke’s new men.

It’s not the only ambitious name on Leeds’ list either with the likes of Evan Ferguson and Nick Pope also being linked with moves to Elland Road in the summer.

With that in mind, Leeds’ hopes of success in either league next term could well rest on the league status of the West Yorkshire side.

For now, the focus has to remain on finishing the season on a high note to take away any additional woes that Farke will be faced with in the summer.
