Manor Solomon transfer: Leeds United finance doubts emerge as decision revealed

Leeds United could possibly face financial uncertainty in the coming months, which could affect a transfer pursuit for Manor Solomon at Elland Road.

The Whites signed the 25-year-old from Tottenham on loan last summer, but the deal doesn’t include an option to buy.

As things stand, Solomon will leave Elland Road next summer unless the Peacocks agree another deal with Spurs for the forward.

The West Yorkshire club have heavily relied on the winger as Daniel Farke eyes Premier League promotion this season.

Leeds United Manor Solomon transfer decision on cards

A firm decision is yet to be made regarding a permanent transfer for Solomon in the summer, according to Leeds Live.

The news outlet reports (18 February) that the Whites are still undecided whether to sign the 25-year-old from Tottenham after his loan deal expires.

It has been claimed that there are various reasons for the Peacock’s indecisiveness, one of them being ambiguity over which league they will be playing in, leading to uncertainty regarding available funds.

While the West Yorkshire club would have a strong lure if they were to win promotion, Spurs’ stance will also play a part in any potential deal.

Manor Solomon transfer needed

Leeds United are the favourites to win the Championship and get back into the English top flight for next season.

Solomon has been integral at Elland Road this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in the league.

The 25-year-old has cemented his place in the German manager’s plans, starting in the last nine Championship fixtures for the West Yorkshire outfit.

Farke hasn’t had much success with unlocking the true potential of most of his stars, but he has managed to bring the best out of some forwards.

Joel Piroe has shouldered the burden of consistently finding the back of the net for the Whites in the current campaign.

Daniel James has had his fair share of fitness issues, but when fit, the Welshman is a difference-maker for the Peacocks in attack.

The 49ers will be delighted with the progress Farke has made this season, but if they have any ambition of taking the club forward, they will need to invest in the squad, and it will be interesting to see what they decide to do with Solomon.
