Manor Solomon in £14.7m Leeds United transfer twist as official approach made

Leeds United remain keen on bringing Manor Solomon back to Elland Road for their Premier League campaign.

Leeds United are already underway in their planning for the summer transfer window, and will need to recruit well if they are to bridge the gap between the Championship and the Premier League.

Several players have already been linked with a move to Elland Road, and one of those has been Solomon, who has impressed throughout the season.

That interest is likely to rumble on through the summer, with news of an official approach emerging from France.

Solomon scored the goal to clinch the Championship title for the Whites and was instrumental in their push for a return to the Premier League.

Leeds remain keen on signing the winger permanently this summer, and according to a report from Team Football (7 May), Spurs value him at £14.7m.

At that price, Leeds will almost certainly look to strike a deal, but the report also adds that Solomon’s entourage have confirmed that Ligue 1 outfit Marseille have made an approach, with Roberto De Zerbi said to be a huge admirer.

Daniel Farke will want to keep Solomon at Elland Road as they look to build a squad capable of surviving in the top flight of English football.

Leeds must maintain squad harmony this summer

Leeds certainly need to bring some more quality through the door, but will attempt to do so without causing too much disruption to those currently at Elland Road.

Squad morale and leadership are two huge factors when fighting against relegation, and the Whites need to maintain that to boost their hopes of staying up.

The coming few months will be crucial for Leeds as they prepare for life back in the Premier League, while hoping they can cement their status as a top-flight club for the foreseeable future.
