Manor Solomon completes Leeds United medical ahead of official Tottenham loan exit
Manor Solomon has completed his Leeds United medical ahead of joining the club on loan before the deadline, according to Shay Lugassi.
The Barca Times head reported via X on 25 August that the Tottenham Hotspur attacker had come through tests ahead of his “official transfer” to Elland Road.
The 25-year-old is set to join Daniel Farke’s squad on a season-long loan without a permanent option included [David Ornstein, 24 August].
He represents the third deal done with Spurs during the transfer window after the sale of Archie Gray and the permanent return of Joe Rodon.
Daniel Farke set for new Leeds United attacker on loan
The Whites have left it until a late scramble in the final week before the deadline but they appear to finally be getting some vital deals done.
Whether Solomon or Largie Ramazani are able to replicate the output of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter remains to be seen after the former Elland Road stars’ exits to West Ham and Brighton respectively.
Farke also wants another full-back and a midfielder in before the window shuts so that he can challenge for promotion again [The Athletic, 16 August].
And according to the Daily Mail on 24 August a new striker is also on the cards, but whether there will be time to get all that business done before the end of the week is going to be a challenge.
Solomon should be a very solid addition on the pitch for Farke as he looks to bounce back from a season of injury and just six Spurs appearances.
But the German is having to rebuild the campaign at Elland Road after a slow start for the second year running amid instability in the final weeks of the transfer window.
