‘Magical’ Leeds star wants to quit Elland Road, he’s given green light for move elsewhere

Leeds United’s squad could take a further hit as they continue to navigate life in the Premier League.

Leeds’ 1-0 win over Everton made it seem as if the Whites had the Premier League all figured out.

However, United soon rediscovered the brutality of the top flight when Arsenal put five past Daniel Farke’s side at the Emirates.

The defeat will no doubt leave Leeds wanting to turn their fortunes around. But they may have to do it without one talented attacker.

Largie Ramazani close to Valencia loan

Largie Ramazani was part of the Leeds squad that gained promotion to the Premier League in 2024/25.

United signed the winger on a four-year contract from Spanish side UD Almeria in 2024, and he had his moments throughout the season. However, Ramazani has struggled to become an undisputed starter for Leeds since his arrival.

Farke has always had the highest praise for Ramazani, referring to him as magical during a press conference ahead of Leeds’ derby with Hull City in 2024.

In quotes provided by Leeds Live on 29 August 2024, he said: “We know that he has potential, and we will bring him to the door, and it’s up to him to step through the door.

“He’s a player that can create magic but it always starts with hard work.”

However, Ramazani was not in the squad to face Arsenal, which has fuelled speculation that an exit is on the cards this summer.

As reported in the print edition of Marca on Sunday, 24 August, Leeds and Valencia are trying to close Ramazani’s loan before 1 September.

The Belgian winger currently wants a return to La Liga, having struggled to start for the former Championship side. Negotiations between the clubs are progressing well after the forward approved the operation.

It is understood that the imminent departure of Hugo Guillamon to Hajduk Split and the arrival of Noah Okafor to Leeds have opened the door to his exit.

Can Noah Okafor hold down the left wing?

Okafor looks to eventually take over on the left wing from Wilfried Gnonto, who prefers the right-hand side.

The left winger had a pretty mediocre season with AC Milan, starting just five times in Serie A. He scored one goal and provided no assists, but the stats indicate that he is a creative threat.

In the Italian top-flight, he had 0.18 expected assists per 90 as well as 1.41 chances created, which is not bad for five starts and 448 minutes.

While it is unlikely he will score more than 10 goals this season, with consistent playing time, Okafor could be a real creative and attacking threat on the wing.
