Luke Ayling speaks out as Leeds United transfer completely agreed

Luke Ayling has sent a message to Jack Harrison after the midfielder completed his move from Leeds United to Everton.

The 26-year-old joined the Toffees on a season-long loan deal on 14 August, with a clause included in the deal that will allow the Premier League club to sign him permanently during his time at Goodison Park.

After the news was announced, the midfielder took to Instagram to thank the Whites for giving him “so many amazing memories”, with Ayling responding by saying: “Gave your all for this club for the five years. Gutted to see you go mate.”

End of an era

It is an end of an era to see one of the players that achieved an awful lot of success with Leeds leave the club this summer after making the move to Merseyside.

Harrison played a key role in helping them achieve promotion back up to the Premier League after initially joining on loan from Manchester City in 2018 before eventually making the move permanent.

Despite a number of poor performances from several players in the Whites’ relegation last season, the midfielder scored six goals and produced 10 assists in 40 games across the campaign.

Leeds United

Although there is a lot of frustration around the players that have left the club this summer, Harrison is probably the one that Leeds fan will be more understanding about as he has given his all during his time at Elland Road, which Ayling alluded to.

It’s clear to see from the amount of former teammates that have wished him well at Everton that he was a popular figure in the dressing room and he will be missed by all those associated with the club.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites should move for a PL centre-back to solve their defensive problems.
