Luis Sinisterra finalises travel details to England for Leeds United medical – Colombian journalist

Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra is on the verge of heading to England to undergo a medical at Leeds United, according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday (6 July), the WinSportsTV reporter relayed an update by Fabrizio Romano saying that Sinisterra, 23, has agreed personal terms to join the Whites from Feyenoord.

Sierra, however, adds that Sinisterra’s long-term contract at Elland Road includes a release clause and that the Colombia international is finalising travel arrangements to head over to England to have his medical at Leeds.

Worrying

We don’t like release clauses.

If Sinisterra does well at Elland Road then we have no doubt that we’ll be powerless to stop the Colombian forward from moving on from Leeds for better things.

If Raphinha had a release clause in his contract that didn’t become active upon relegation, we doubt he’d still be a Leeds United player right now.

However, we hope that this release clause for Sinisterra is also a relegation one.

Why wouldn’t he want that, in all honesty?

Leeds

Sinisterra would be quitting a chance to win silverware regularly and consistent European football to join Leeds, who were almost relegated from the Premier League last season.

If the Whites go down next season – we really hope that’s nowhere near to being the case – then there’s no doubt that Sinisterra will want to leave as soon as possible as he’s not signing up for Championship football.

Sinisterra looks like a class player though and we hope he can kickstart his life at Elland Road in the same way Raphinha did.

We just hope that this agreeing release clause isn’t anything we have to worry about for a long time.

It could work out in Leeds’ favour if it’s a massive one.

In other Leeds United news, this international player is itching to join a club in the Premier League with the Whites hot on his trail.
