Liverpool make Crysencio Summerville transfer decision with Leeds United exit mooted
Liverpool have made the decision not to pursue a move for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to The Mirror.
Writing on their website (31 May), the news outlet report that the Reds were interested in a deal for the Dutch winger and were ready to compete with Chelsea for his signature.
But they have now decided against making a move with Leeds putting a £30million price tag on his head, with owner Paraag Marathe admitting that sales are expected at Elland Road after they failed to earn promotion back to the Premier League.
Leeds United will be delighted by Liverpool decision
Leeds and the fans of the club will be expecting plenty of rumours this summer regarding their top players, but none more so than Summerville.
After scoring an incredible 21 goals and registering nine assists in all competitions during the 2023/24 season, Summerville has shown that he is more than good enough to play at a level higher than the Championship.
Liverpool are keen on bringing in an attacker to help boost their options, and Summerville is the type of high-intensity player that new manager Arne Slot reportedly loves.

But with the Anfield club opting to go a different route, that can only be positive news for the Whites as it means that the Whites aren’t going to be competing with a Champions League club owned by billionaires to convince him to stay.
Other clubs are interested in a move for the 22-year-old [The Sun, 29 May], and the rumours will undoubtedly continue throughout the summer, but he won’t be heading to the red side of Merseyside.
In other Leeds news, the 49ers have agreed to sell a minority stake in the club to Red Bull.
