Liverpool line up Jaka Bijol transfer as Leeds United stance shared
Liverpool are keen on signing Jaka Bijol in the summer transfer window.
Bijol has gone from strength to strength since his summer move to Leeds from Udinese, but that improvement hasn’t gone unnoticed, with Liverpool said to be eyeing a deal.
That is according to a report from Fichajes, which states that the Slovenian is seen as an ideal replacement for Ibrahima Konate, who could move on at the end of the season.
The Reds want an experienced centre-back to arrive at Anfield in the summer, and with 69 international caps and several seasons in the top flight in Italy, Bijol fits the bill.
Bijol has started 12 times for Leeds in the Premier League this season, meaning the Whites will not want to part ways easily.

Leeds United’s stance on Jaka Bijol exit
Providing Leeds stay in the Premier League, which, with 11 games to go, is looking increasingly likely, they will be in a good position to resist offers for their star players.
And having shown his leadership and defensive qualities in England, Bijol is certainly up there when it comes to his level of importance.
As a result, the report adds that the Whites will not part ways easily in the summer and will drive the price up in the event of interest.
Leeds signed Bijol from Udinese for a fee in the region of £15million, and if that interest were to carry through into the summer, it would be a shock to see them settle for anything less than double what they paid.
But again, with Bijol under contract until 2030, the power is very much in the hands of Leeds United.

Leeds’ Premier League success can’t come as a loss
If Leeds stay in the top flight, it would be a big achievement, and it would shine a very positive light on those who arrived in the summer.
However, it would also attract interest from several clubs within the Premier League and around Europe, and Leeds need to fend off that interest to keep progressing.
It won’t be just Bijol who is looked at in the summer, with the likes of Anton Stach, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Gabriel Gudmundsson all worth their weight in gold at the minute.
Ambition will need to be shown when bringing more player in, but also when ensuring that their key players remain at Elland Road.
