Leeds zone in on Igor Paixao signing as ‘project presented to agents’
Leeds United look to be in the running to sign Igor Paixao this summer.
The Whites have had a somewhat busy start to the window after earning promotion, already bringing in four new faces to Elland Road.
It is clear that Daniel Farke isn’t done at this stage, with attacking reinforcements also seemingly in the pipeline for the Yorkshire outfit.
This has now seen the potential of a deal for Paixao be tabled to the new Premier League side as the new campaign edges ever closer.

Leeds United begin Paixao talks
There is no doubt that the LS11 club are in need of new forwards with experience at the highest level moving into the new season.
It is fair to say that the likes of Daniel James and Wilfried Gnonto have already shown their ability at that level, but strength in depth is going to be a requirement.
This is where the Feyenoord man could fit in after a number of positive years with the Dutch giants in the Eredivisie.
Having contributed 32 goals last campaign, there is every chance that the forward could flourish in England’s top flight if he were to sign at Elland Road.
Stat | Igor Paixao |
Appearances | 47 |
Goals | 18 |
Assists | 14 |
This may have taken a step closer to being possible after Leeds representatives held talks over a move for Paixao with the 25-year-old’s representatives, according to Graham Smyth (16 July).
The versatile attacker is also of interest to Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, so there does appear to be a battle on for the Whites to land the ex-Coritiba man.
Paixao could shine at Leeds
The LS11 faithful know quite a lot about being promoted to the Premier League and then signing an exciting Brazilian forward.
Last time out, this happened with Raphinha, who went on to be one of Leeds’ best players in recent memory.
The man signed from Stade Rennais ultimately went on to leave and join Barcelona, where he has become a genuine Ballon d’Or contender.
This could act as the perfect way to attract Paixao to Elland Road, given how many minutes the Feyenoord man could command under Farke.
