Leeds United winger set for permanent Elland Road exit, Sheffield Wednesday want to sign him

Leeds United winger Keenan Carole is set to leave Elland Road permanently this summer with Sheffield Wednesday set to sign him, according to Leeds-Live.

Writing on their website (9 May), the news outlet report that the French winger’s contract is set to expire and the Owls are keen to take him to Hillsborough.

The 19-year-old has not played for the Under-21 team since December, but played for Wednesday’s youth side in a 2-1 win over Ipswich last week and now looks set for a permanent move.

Busy Leeds United transfer window expected at Elland Road

Daniel Farke will be expecting a busy transfer window at the club this summer, whether that is with the first-team or with the academy.

But a lot of the business that gets done will be dependent on which division the club are playing in, and that could see a host of different players pushing for a move away or excited to stay.

Carole however isn’t someone that is likely to be in that conversation, having failed to make the grade with the youth team and not having a sniff of the first-team picture.

A move to Sheffield Wednesday would be excellent for him, considering that they just about avoided relegation to League One and could end up being in the same division as the Whites next season.

Plenty of players will see their futures away from the club this season and Carole is seemingly the next one to move on.
