Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville scouted for a long time by Borussia Dortmund – Christian Falk

Borussia Dortmund have been scouting Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville “for a long time” and are interested in a transfer this summer, says Christian Falk.

Summerville broke into the Whites first-team properly this season with four goals and two assists in the Premier League but couldn’t stop the team being relegated to the Championship.

And now the Dutch winger has caught the attention of several clubs for a summer transfer, with Falk telling the Caught Offside Substack (10 June) that Dortmund are interested in a deal that could be worth around £10m.

“Crysencio Summerville (21) from Leeds United has been scouted by BVB for a long time,” he wrote.

“Summerville can play on either right or left wing at BVB. Dortmund is interested in a transfer.”

Inevitable

With the amount of quality, young attacking talent that we have at Elland Road right now it’s no shock at all that clubs are showing an interest.

Most eyes are going to be on where Wilfried Gnonto ends up because of his talent, but that means Summerville has secretly gone under the radar and lots of fans were hoping that would mean he stays.

But there is a long way to go in the summer window and talent always rises to the top, meaning he was always going to be high on someone’s shortlist.

Dortmund are a powerhouse who were minutes away from winning the league and ending Bayern Munich’s dominance this season, so it would be a massive step up for Summerville.

However they have a terrific reputation for developing young talent and the 21-year-old will know that and be chomping at the bit. If they pay up, which they can after selling Jude Bellingham, then he’ll surely be off.

In other Leeds news, a winner has been named in the race for this Spanish starlet after the Whites made a “bigger financial offer”.
