Leeds United welcome defender from Tottenham as arrangement made

Leeds United have already conducted transfer business with Premier League outfit Tottenham.

The Whites look are hopeful of earning promotion this season as they currently sit top of the second tier ahead of Sheffield United and Burnley.

If Daniel Farke’s side do secure a top-two finish, the upcoming window is set to be busy at Elland Road with moves already being made.

A deal between Spurs and Leeds has now gone through after an exit was given the green light on Hotspur Way.

Calum Logan leaves Tottenham for Leeds United

Leeds have already worked with Spurs in the transfer market in the past 12 months after signing Archie Gray.

The versatile teenager was superb in the Championship last season but a move always looked likely after losing to Southampton in the playoffs.

The 19-year-old has gone on to become a regular under Ange Postecoglou in North London but now Logan is set to make a move the other way.

Lilywhite Rose reported via X on 28 March that the versatile centre-back has joined the whites on trial from the N17 outfit.

The England under-17s international only signed for the Lilywhites in the summer from Ipswich under the guidance of emerging talent manager, Chris Perkins.

The 51-year-old has since moved on to Arsenal, and now 18-year-old looks set to follow the chief out in a move to Elland Road.

The Whites have had a positive relationship with utilising young talent in West Yorkshire over the years.

After relegation from the Premier League in 2023, Farke opted to look to get the best out of what he had with Cyrsencio Summerville and Gray.

Both departed in the summer but it is safe to say that the versatile midfielder has had a better campaign away from LS11.

Spurs have been forced to rely on the teen in multiple positions after being forced to deal with a whole host of injuries throughout the year.

This has proven to be an excellent deal for the North Londoners, who may have now repaid the favour with Logan before the end of the season.

The defender is unlikely to come in and make an impression on the first team but will have plenty of experience to build on at Thorp Arch.

There is a point of similarity with former Spurs man Joe Rodon, who the former Ipswich can rely on to learn from in terms of experience.

It will certainly be interesting to see what the 18-year-old can do to impress during his trial period at Elland Road, away from Spurs.
