Leeds United want to sign Silas as £6.8m Stuttgart exit development emerges
Leeds United and Premier League side Fulham are in the hunt to sign Stuttgart forward Silas this summer with a price tag now set, according to BILD.
The German outlet has reported (4 June) that the winger is looking to exit the Bundesliga side this summer after a lack of minutes.
This has now seen Leeds, Fulham, Villarreal and Lens show an interest in signing the DR Congo international with a fee between £6.8m to £8.5m said to be enough to seal a deal.
Silas is said to have “played a role in Leeds United’s plans” as a potential signing ahead of the summer window.
Leeds United could make Silas move
The Whites were set for a struggle in the transfer market after failing to secure promotion after losing to Southampton in the play-offs.
Now with the surprise investment from Red Bull, Daniel Farke may be afforded more wiggle room to bring new players in.
With that being said, there may be some stars that still look to depart Elland Road like Crysencio Summerville or Wilfried Gnonto.
These both had excellent seasons and will certainly need replacing this summer if they are to move away.
Silas could prove to be a useful addition after a season where he has struggled for regular stars and minutes in the Bundesliga.
Despite Stuttgart finishing second, the Congolese could only manage eight starts and featured in an additional 19 substitute appearances [FotMob].

Across 890 minutes the winger managed to score five and assist two and as a result could look to force a move away this summer.
The official Bundesliga website has said that Silas’ pace, dribbling, goalscoring nous and physical attributes – like his “rangy, imposing 6’2″ frame” – mean that he’s a similar kind of player to peak Cristiano Ronaldo
Silas could prove to be a fan favourite at Elland Road, it all depends whether or not the Whites can afford a deal after missing out on promotion.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites could lose Junior Firpo and another player for the start of the new season.
