Leeds United want to sign Michy Batshuayi on free transfer in summer window
Leeds United want to sign Fenerbahce striker Michy Batshuayi on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Aksam.
Writing on their website (14 March), the Turkish news outlet report that the Whites have emerged as a potential destination for the Belgium international whose contract in Istanbul expires in the summer.
And Leeds are “expected to knock on Fenerbahce’s door” once the season is completed, with the one-time Premier League champion expected to leave Turkey ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Leeds United need a Premier League proven striker
Daniel Farke has navigated the Championship expertly once again in his time at Elland Road, feeding off his experiences from his time at Norwich.
But with promotion to the Premier League looking likely considering recent form, the club must be planning accordingly and cannot afford to not have a proper goalscorer in the team.
This season Leeds have seen the goals spread out evenly across the squad but without a designated number nine to lead the line, they would surely struggle in the top flight once again.

Batshuayi won the Premier League during his time at Chelsea, scoring the goal that sealed the title for them, but outside of that he never really had a great time in the top flight either.
With that said however he has scored goals everywhere he has been when afforded a chance to play regularly and his record at international level is exceptional too. This could be a real coup for the Whites if they pull it off.
In other Leeds news, the club have submitted a multi-million pound offer for an international wide man.
