Leeds United want to sign Arsenal attacker after Kai Morrall transfer developments

Leeds United are looking to bring players to Thorp Arch with an eye on the future.

Transfers are soon to be the talk of the town at Leeds United, with the January window rapidly approaching.

Leeds are expected to have funds available to strengthen their squad, as they look to reinforce their side to give themselves a greater chance of survival come the end of the campaign.

However, while work will already be underway in that regard, the Whites are still planning for the future, with one eye on a deal for an Arsenal teenager.

Nefeye Osazee attracting interest with Arsenal exit close

With Archie Gray being the standout, Leeds have had plenty of success over the years when it comes to bringing young players through the ranks, though the same can be said about Arsenal.

Max Dowman, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Bukayo Saka are just a handful of names to have emerged in the Premier League over the last few years, and not looked out of place.

Now, the Gunners have another teen in Nefeye Osazee with plenty of potential, and according to The Talent Hunter on X, Leeds are keen on a deal.

It’s claimed that the 16-year-old’s exit from Arsenal is “imminent” and that the interest from the Whites is “serious”.

This comes just days after the same source reported that Kai Morrall was set to move to Thorp Arch from Liverpool, showcasing Leeds’ desire to add more youth talent.

Who is Nefeye Osazee?

Osazee signed a two-year deal with the Arsenal academy back in 2023, after a trial period saw the forward score 10 goals in nine appearances.

The teenager started his footballing career in Nigeria at the age of six, before moving to England to feature for Slough Town, where he would catch the attention of the Gunners.

In his first season at Hale End, he helped the Gunners win the Premier League U13 National Cup and continued to show promise.

However, the club have informed the Nigerian youngster that his scholarship will not be extended, and he will be free to find a new side.
