Leeds United want three more signings after Glen Kamara from Rangers with Luis Sinisterra exit chances 'pretty high'

Leeds United are still aiming to complete as many as three more signings before the deadline after landing Ilia Gruev and Glen Kamara, according to Dean Jones.

The former Eurosport journalist told GIVEMESPORT (31 August) that he had been told arrivals in the final two days of the window could number five, with Ola Solbakken at Roma now on the cards as a late target with Luis Sinisterra's potential exit still very much live.

Jones expected the two midfielders to come in first, and the Whites have indeed confirmed the deals of both Gruev and Kamara from Werder Bremen and Rangers respectively at different points on Thursday.

Jones said: "I was told up to five players would come in during these final couple of days and that’s still the aim.

"A new name of interest has been Solbakken, and interest in that one has been lodged with Roma and there will be clarification tonight on whether it has potential.

"I guess the one big uncertainty hanging over them is whether Sinisterra stays or goes and my hunch is that there is so much interest still that the chance of a final day exit is still pretty high."

If key men such as the Colombian winger leave at the 11th hour then there is clearly a far greater need to keep bringing new players in, but strengthening either way is always an option.

It looks like Willy Gnonto isn't going anywhere now and the wide attackers look strong, but if either of the two, or Crysencio Summerville, are signed for big money on deadline day that could change.

Solbakken would be a direct replacement and it looks like the club are making contingency plans for a possible exit by getting in touch with Roma, who they have already done business with this summer on Diego Llorente and Rasmus Kristensen.

Fans would dearly love to finally see the Whites address their problem position at left-back just as they have at striker by signing Joel Piroe.

But missing out on Luke Thomas to Sheffield United has taken one option off the table there and it remains to be seen if an alternative is on the cards, with Graham Smyth suggesting it isn't.

Having started their incoming business so late in the window a busy deadline day was always on the cards and it appears that could still be the case, with more moves possible in both directions.
