Leeds United want James Hill transfer as Daniel Farke looks at next signing already
Leeds have identified Bournemouth star James Hill as a transfer target.
The Whites are in desperate need of cover in the full-back positions for the likes of Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson.
Isaac Schmidt is facing an uncertain future at Elland Road, and Sam Bryam is not the required quality to play in the Premier League.
Therefore, the 49ers still have work to do for Leeds in the market to ensure that the squad is ready for the top-flight.

Leeds eye James Hill deal as Farke stance emerges
Daniel Farke does not rate Schmidt and Byram and feels like extra depth is needed on the flanks in the backline.
Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam claimed on 21 August that the Peacocks want to sign Hill, who has one year left on his contract on the South Coast.
He states that Farke admires the Cherries ace, and the Whites are looking to sign a new defender.
Who is Leeds target James Hill?
Hill is a centre-back who can also cover at right-back, so he could fit what Farke needs from a new addition.
The 23-year-old made 10 appearances in the Premier League for Andoni Iraola’s side last season, with six starts after loan spells with Hearts in Scotland and Blackburn in the Championship.
He also started the 1-0 Carabao Cup loss to West Ham last August and played three times in the FA Cup as the Cherries reached the quarter finals.
Strengths:
- Ground duels: Excels in duels on the ground
- Pace: Fast and athletic defender who can cover ground effectively
- Versatility: His ability to play on the right and central could come in handy
Weaknesses:
- Rash: Can rush into his defensive actions
- Aerial duels: Not as strong as his ground duels
- Long-ball accuracy: Struggles to execute long balls with accuracy
He is a strong defender, with the ability to pass out from the ball and a particularly strong record in ground duels and his versatility could be a key asset for Farke as he tries to keep his side in the division.
The England Under-21 international could eventually grow into a first-team star for the LS11 outfit but would initially be brought in as a backup.
He could be a solid acquisition for the Whites, given his age and his experience at the top level already and would likely be good value for money, leaving them to spend higher elsewhere.
