Leeds United want Diego Luna transfer as multi-million reveal emerges

Leeds United will need to spend £6.6million to sign Real Salt Lake playmaker Diego Luna, according to Voetbal Nieuws.

The Dutch news outlet has reported that the MLS side will not let their young star leave cheaply in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Whites have been credited with transfer interest [Daily Mirror] ahead of the window, with Anderlecht also mentioned as another option.

Diego Luna would be a great addition for Leeds United

If Farke can get Luna to Elland Road ahead of the second half of the season, that would be a great bit of business, recruiting a player who can make an impact.

One area where the Whites have struggled this term is upfront with both Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph failing to deliver consistently.

However, the 21-year-old provided nine goals and eight assists for his side last season showing his ability to be effective in attacking positions and help strikers ahead of him.

The attacking player was also awarded the MLS Young Player of the Season award last term which highlights the potential that the youngster has which could surely be brought out at Elland Road.

His contract in the MLS runs until 2026 so the West Yorkshire outfit will have to be willing to fork out for the player but with limited opportunities to progress in the US, this is a move that could be tempting for the 21-year-old.

In other Leeds news, the Whites need to prove Adam Pope wrong and give Daniel Farke a January gift to help them earn Premier League promotion.
